had excellent weather with many good performances:

coming out on top with SB of 3,572pts
followed by Bill Pearson M59 at
2,985pts &
Ray Bzibziak M57 at 2,855pts.
Joe had SBs in shot 14.09m &
discus 39.55m.
- Garry
Bachman M89 upped his SB
to 3,425pts, 251 pts better
than last meet showing that he is rounding into form
- Rhona
Trott W61 broke 3,000 pts for the first time this
year finishing with 3,014pts
incl. a SB in hammer of
30.65m
- Dave
Morris W72 had an
SB
of
2,751pts
- Peter
St. Pierre M51
finished with
2,205pts incl. a
PB
in hammer of

- Evalds
Viskers M85 finished with 1,838pts

weather the first meet of the season saw some excellent
performances:
- Velta
Tomsons W82 broke her Canadian
Record in shot put with a throw of
7.22m
- Max
Woerle M81 topped throws pentathlon with
2,999 pts
- Good battle in
M55 with Bill Pearson M58 on top
with 2,984pts followed closed by
Ray Bzibziak M57 at
2,835pts &
Joe Myers M58 at 2,545pts.
Joe Myers had a fine 13.22m in shot
put
- Rhona
Trott W61, last years Challenge Trophy winner, opened the
season with 2,655pts
- New comer
Sukhwinder Virk M53 finished his
first throws pentathlon at 1,583pts
- Evalds
Viskers M85 finished with 1,890pts
in triathlon

has developed an excellent site on YouTube for his York
University Throwers –
YUTHROWS . It has lots of good videos including training
videos…the most recent ones are from a hammer training camp held
in Edmonton last September. So far there are 666 uploads and
growing!!
